I HATE COPY PROTECTION

Dear Native Instruments Support,

I just purchased Reaktor 4 and I'm trying to register it, but the registration app isn't working. I don't have internet access from my music computer, option 2 gets an error message, and option 3 gets an error message and then crashes my computer while the browser says "opening 02.html" or something. This is incredibly frustrating.

Can you please send me the code I need. My info is as follows:

Serial Number: (a very very long number)
The registration app generated the following code: (an even longer number)

I purchased the product at RobotSpeak in San Francisco on 6-19 via their website. I can provide proof of purchase if necessary.

I am installing it on a Mac G4. Let me know if you need any additional information.

Just FYI, I totally dread installing Native Instruments products. I own quite a few and the prospect of installing and authorizing them fills me with fear and dread. That's why Reaktor 4 has been sitting on my desk for almost a month, unopened. Why does the authorization process need to be so byzantine and complicated? I understand the need for copy protection but this is out of hand. I have already spent 40 minutes trying to deal with this. Plus it is a different system each time. I just want to buy the software, install it, and make music, not type in dozens of tiny numbers and then get error messages.

Sorry for the rant, but I need someone to feel my pain. I'm sure it is not your fault.

Thanks,

Jondi

please ignore the second email you will get sent. I have forwarded your comments on the copy protection to its product manager. Be sure to be heard. Hope that soothes your pain.

All the best,

(okay, I feel better now ... all I have to do is budget an hour of my time to type in that number and everything will be fine)
