Went out on "The Boate" today with Eric and Steen. I don't have a very good nautical track record ... as often as not nausea sets in and I end up losing my lunch, my breakfast, and sometimes what I ate the day before. However today I felt *more or less* OK (at least I didn't puke) and enjoyed the scenic vistas from the middle of the Bay.
Eric and Steen are "co-captains." As far as I can tell it means they navigate more or less how Spesh and I run Loöq Records, that is, easygoing consensus until both parties dig their feet in over some issue and then an elaborate dance ensues whereby both parties try to extract themselves from the conflict without losing face. However I think maybe this may be more appropriate for the Monday morning meeting at our office than when you're careening through the water at seven knots towards a jagged steel pylon that "came out of nowhere" in the middle of the Bay. Pretty exciting anyway. We missed it. Barely.
May have to investigate the iron-stomach line of pharmaceuticals before venturing out again, but I really did have a good time. I smell like brine.
