Jondi & Spesh Top Ten for January 2008

Jackie just got back from Ireland, so we'll be gearing up for our 2008 releases very soon.

New Year's Eve at Minna was a blast ... Spesh and I enjoyed playing a very short tag-team set up until the midnight count-down. I think we played about three tracks each. Kia revamped the "George mowing the lawn" video art by Xian for the count-down video. We poured free champagne for all our guests but most were already too drunk and happy to accept it. Mostly a good crowd (you never know with New Year's Eve amateur night). One poor girl briefly set her hair on fire with a candle but Hsiao-Wen quickly extinguished it. Other than that just shiny happy people bringing in the new year.

I'm excited about 2008 ... becoming a dad ... continuing to run Loöq Records and Qoöl with Spesh ... a new Momu album with Mark ... more studio work with local boys like Kevin Knapp, Scott Carrelli, and Marc Kate. Lots to look forward to.
