Angles of Estrangement

What have Jondi & Spesh been up to lately?

Well, we've been keeping up with our top-rated podcast (rated #1 electronic music podcast in the Milky Way galaxy, last we checked), and we've also been running Loöq Records. But in addition to those activities, we've also been working on a studio project -- a new album entitled "Angles of Estrangement." It's an ambient album, more or less, but it might not sound like what you expect ambient music to sound like. You'll have to decide yourself if "Angles of Estrangement" is our magnum opus, or an aural experiment gone awry. We hope you enjoy it and would love to hear what you think.

From the press blurb:

This album is comprised of previously published material that has been radically altered. Certain rules were applied to the re-composition process. For each of the "songs" in this collection, elements of soft and loud were deliberately used in search of contrasts designed to provoke the listener. There is little or no percussion. Each composition contains a dramatic arc, and within that arc, an event. Each piece begins exactly where it ends, and thus can be played in an endless loop.
